Editorial Domus is one of the most well known and important editorial groups in Italy and abroad.
The company already had an online store and turned to us for the rebuilding of their e-commerce on a new platform that would allow for both the sale of the paper product as well as the subscription and delivery of digital products, which could then be used in real time through the apps of Domus’s various properties, from Quattroruote to Cucchiaio d’Argento. Another important goal of the new tool is that of receiving third-party products, thus becoming a Marketplace in all respects. As a result, one of the most important requests we addressed was the possibility to manage on a single platform both orders and shipments of products made available by external suppliers. The goal was to obtain limited warehouse management costs, confined exclusively to the products and services supplied by Editorial Domus.
The project wants to become an all-Italian competitor to players such as Amazon.

Our ad hoc solution
The ShopED store was tailor-made to meet the client’s requirements. Specifically, all of the solutions we provided were customized to fit the needs of the project. In addition to the implementation of a technological platform capable of accommodating and managing every type of product on the market, we provided a service that covered all possible needs, even practical, of e-commerce: customer service outside the company managed by PVS, our partner, and automated shipping management directly from vendor warehouses throughout Italy. Of great interest is the management of the logistics side: arranging the collection by the courier and the subsequent delivery are carried out in a fully automated way, in order to optimize both the personnel management costs and the delivery times. In the specific case of Ed Domus, it was also necessary to implement a centrally managed customer account system, maintaining as list builder Club Motori as list builder, the Editoriale Domus information system.
